What clients say

Rated 5.0 by Los Angeles Clients

  • Roof vent replacement

A roof turbine vent broke just as rain was starting. The Home Hero team moved the schedule up, showed the damaged part, picked up a replacement and had it installed the same morning.

    Dennis I. · Los Angeles · March 2025

  • Door installation

A previous handyman left a door installation half-finished. Home Hero showed up on time, completed the job quickly and charged a fair price — now the go-to for future work.

    Hendry A. · West Hollywood · March 2025

  • Outdoor faucet repair

A deck faucet needed a soldered copper fitting. Fast response, a fair upfront estimate, and no markup on the replacement part — a direct, honest exchange from start to finish.

    Michael B. · West Hollywood · September 2024

  • Exterior critter-proofing

Sealed the house against critters: inspected the roof and exterior, replaced old vent covers and custom-built a crawlspace door. Great value — and they've been invited back.

Good to know

Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers about scope, scheduling and how we work.

What types of projects do you handle?

We handle small and mid-sized repairs, installations and improvements: drywall patching, painting touch-ups, furniture assembly, TV and shelf mounting, door adjustments, hardware replacement, laminate flooring, caulking and general property maintenance. If a project falls outside our scope, we'll tell you upfront.

Do you provide estimates?

Yes. Send us a description of the work through the request form — photos help a lot — and we'll review the details and follow up to discuss scope, scheduling and pricing before any work begins.

Can I send photos of the project?

Please do. Clear photos of the project area are the fastest way for us to understand the scope and give you an accurate picture of what's involved. The request form includes a photo upload.

Do you work with landlords and property managers?

Yes. We support rental properties with turnover punch lists, move-in and move-out repairs, tenant-requested fixes and recurring maintenance visits. See our Property Maintenance page for details.

Can you complete multiple tasks during one visit?

That's one of the main reasons to hire a handyman. Send us your full list — install shelves, adjust a door, patch drywall — and we'll organize the tasks so as much as possible gets done in a single scheduled visit.

Do I need to provide materials?

Either way works. Some clients prefer to purchase materials themselves; in other cases we can discuss picking up materials as part of the project. We'll agree on the approach when we confirm the details.

What areas of Los Angeles do you serve?

We serve Los Angeles and nearby areas, including North Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Studio City, Sherman Oaks and surrounding neighborhoods. Service availability may vary depending on project size, location and scheduling — just ask.

How should I prepare for the appointment?

Clear the work area if you can, make sure we'll have access to the space, and have any materials or hardware you've purchased ready. If anything is fragile or off-limits, let us know before we start.

Do you handle urgent or after-hours requests?

We're available seven days a week, so if something can't wait — call or mark your request as urgent and we'll do our best to schedule you quickly. One important exception: for hazardous situations like gas odors, major leaks at the main line or sparking electrical, contact your utility company or a licensed emergency specialist first.

What projects may require a licensed specialist?

Certain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural and larger construction projects may require a licensed contractor or specialist under California law. We review the scope of every request first, and if your project needs a licensed professional we'll tell you honestly rather than take on work we shouldn't.
